At Blooming Mind, every day is a new opportunity for learning, laughter and discovery. We are a licensed, not for profit daycare offering full time child care for children from infants to 5 years.
Our management team has created a program which focusses on social skills, education and hands on learning to foster curiosity and confidence in every child.
Our Mission
At Blooming Mind Childcare, we value early childhood as the foundation for lifelong learning. Young children have unique physical, emotional, social, creative and intellectual needs and we strive to create a program that appeals to each child through joy and celebration.
Our Philosophy
Blooming Mind Childcare welcomes children into an atmosphere of warmth, comfort, and love. This environment allows children the security to grow into their full potential, mentally, physically, emotionally, and developmentally. We provide the children opportunities to socialize, co-operate, share, enjoy each other’s company and develop successful problem-solving skills.
Secure attachments and positive emotional bonds with caregivers encourage the children to cultivate a sense of trust and to gain confidence in their ability to challenge themselves and move on the next developmental level.

Why We Are Different
Kids Activities
Our classrooms offer strategies for building positive relationships, helping children develop self-regulation and making responsible decisions.
Learning time
Our weekly planning includes literacy, songs, science, dramatic play, arts/crafts, math, music and discussion. We provide fun worksheets that focus on preschool style learning, including tracing numbers and letters, matching, shape and colour recognition, and basic phonics.
Creative Activities
Creative activities help children develop artistic intelligence, teaching children to work with co-ordination and an open mind.
Table/Floor Toys
“Sharing is Caring” is a lesson learned when children are gathered to play with table and/or floor toys. Group or solitary play is encouraged based on the children’s moods or abilities. Hand-eye co-ordination, patience, trial and error and exploration are the hidden lessons that are learned.

Yes, we provide fresh cooked breakfast and lunch for children, as well as an afternoon snack post nap time adhering to Canada’s Food Guide and our 4-week rotation menu plan. Any meals for children under the age of 14 months are to be provided by parents.
As our curriculum is relevant with Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework, we believe it is important to integrate outdoor play with classroom learning to achieve optimal development for children.
All employees are required to have their Level 1 Early childhood learning certificate at the minimum, if not more. It is also mandatory for our employees to have a valid police information check including the vulnerable sector, and a valid First Aid CPR certificate.
We require parents to provide diapers, wipes, extra clothing, bed sheets, jackets, outdoor and indoor shoes and any other necessary items your child may need for their time at the daycare (according to the weather).
Yes, we are a nut free facility to ensure safety and comfort of all children. If your child has an allergy to any item, we require clear communication before your child starts with us so we can take appropriate measures to maintain a safe environment for your child. Any supplementary food from parents must be nut free.
